If you let go into 51 ADVICE FROM THE LOTUS-BORNI whatever catches your attention, you fall prey to disturbing emotions. To deal with this, direct your gaze to the meeting point between earth and sky. If that doesn't calm you down, then apply the [downward] gaze of a shravaka, and sometimes focus your mind on an object. At night, go to sleep while imagining that your mind enters a black bindu, within two egg-shaped channel-junctures located in the soles of your feet. This is one teaching. but it is better to focus your mind on the letter A in your secret place.

Amazing! Great master, since all the key points of the Heart Essence ofSecret Mantra are contained within the three principles of essence, nature and capacity, do these three have any deviations or not? The master said: Tsogyal, it is excellent that you ask this. All the key points of the lnnn-most Heart Essence are indeed contained within essence, nature and capacity. When a person doesn't understand there are ways of going astray. To explain this, there are four points: the way of straying, the sign of having gone astray, the shoncoming of this, and the effect of going astray.

Someone who acts in this way of perverting what is true will have no other place to go than Vajra Hell. Having perverted the truth of what is vinuous, the effect of such demented practice is to take rebirth as someone holding the extreme view of nihilism. Having perverted the truth of cause and effect, you flounder through the ocean of suffering. Tsogyal, there are many who claim to realize emptiness, but few realize the ultimate natural state. Now, about 'nature' there are also four points to going astray, of which the first, the way of straying from the nature, is as follows.
